• Work closely with software development team to understand product specifics and to create corresponding test plan, quality standards, and strategies for the project.
• Assist in definition of acceptance criteria for user stories
• Design, develop and execute functional test cases (manual and scripted).
• Ensure the software meets the intended requirements and software specifications, and all established quality standards specified in the test plan.
• Work collaboratively with the software development team to review test cases for completeness.
• Document and classify defects in a defect tracking tool
• Ensure that all best practices and enterprise standards are followed
• Work collaboratively in a Scrum development environment.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years’ software testing experience including test automation and/or infrastructure development, test planning, test case design, test methodologies
• Ability to understand functional/technical specifications
• Ability to write code for scripted and automated test processes.
• Experience testing REST services
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Ability to work independently as a Lead Software Development Test Engineer to write comprehensive test cases
• US citizenship is required

Has the ability to identify testing, environment or development risks and issues that impact the overall strategy and execution plan and can communicate those risks and issues effectively.
Can review and scope out business and technical requirements and ensure requirements traceability in test case writing.
Writes detailed description of data needs, user access needs, program functions, and steps required to validate system functionality.
Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and testing instructional guides as documentation of the overall program and assigned testing projects.
ssists internal and external programmers in defining test scenarios and triaging raised defects.
Serves as defect manager/coordinator on testing projects.
Is in tune with project timelines and critical milestones that can hinder project completion.
Directs and coordinates work of the testing team in order to shakeout test environments, find and condition data, execute tests, assign bugs for retest and document results.
Works with Hancock Whitney Total Quality Management department to create detailed training, policy, and procedures as the need arises.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Total Quality Manager
Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations
